PINE Beat Speaker | Quick User Guide

Thanks for choosing the PINE Beat, designed to sound good, do good, and last longer.

PINE Beat

⚠️ Safety information - Read first

⚠️ Do not disassemble, incinerate or short circuit. You will jeopardise the water proofing.
⚠️ Do not expose to temperatures higher than 60°C/140°F.
⚠️ Charge only with specified charging cable.
⚠️ Expose a POCA audio product to salt water.
⚠️ Drop, strike or use a POCA audio product to hit any other object.

Accessories:

⚠️ Overtighten the speaker to any accessory. The speaker should be screwed on hand-tight, but not loose.
⚠️ Attach any other device to an accessory, except a POCA audio approved product.
⚠️ Position an accessory where the attached speaker could be struck.
⚠️ Force or lever your speaker while attached to an accessory.
⚠️ Attach a POCA audio product to a moving vehicle. A car is a no-no, a paddleboard is OK!

🔋 Powering On / Off

To turn on

  1. Press and hold the 🔘 Power button for 2 seconds.
  2. You’ll hear a Forest Heartbeat chime and the LED will flash white.

To turn off

  1. Press and hold the 🔘 Power button for 2 seconds.
  2. You’ll hear a Glacial Ice chime and the LED will turn off.
📱 Connecting via Bluetooth & Repairing

First-time pairing

  1. Make sure your PINE Beat is on. It will automatically go into pairing mode.
  2. On your phone, open Bluetooth settings.
  3. Look for PINE Beat and tap to connect.
    You’ll hear a Glacial Ice chime when successfully paired.

From now on, it’ll reconnect automatically.

Pair a new device

Hold the Play button for 2 seconds to enter pairing mode. Follow the steps above.

🔌 Charging

Use only the included USB-C cable (5V at 2.4A).
For faster charging, use a USB-C wall plug over 30W.

⚠️ Never get the USB-C cable wet.

To charge:

  1. Open the silicone tab on the rear.
  2. Plug in the USB-C cable.
  3. The speaker will chime and battery LEDs will flash in sequence.

It takes approx. 2.5 hours for a full charge with a 2.4A input.

🔋 Battery Level LEDs

There are 4 LEDs. Each LED = 25% charge:

🔆 Top: 75–100%

🔆 3rd: 50–75%

🔆 2nd: 25–50%

🔆 Bottom: 0–25%

⚡ Power Bank Mode

Your PINE Beat can fast charge phones and tablets (not laptops).

  1. Just plug in the included USB-C cable.

If charging doesn’t start: Check the port and cable for debris, clean gently, and try again.

🔄 Swapping the Battery

The battery is located on the underside of PINE Beat, behind a waterproof sealed lid.

To swap batteries:

⚠️ Always flip your speaker upside down before opening to avoid dropping the battery.

  1. Turn speaker upside down.
  2. Slide out the recycled plastic tab lock slightly and gently push up.
  3. Use your fingers on the metal edges to lift the lid either side of the lock — it may be stiff due to the seal.
  4. Pull the black fabric tab to remove the battery.
  5. Insert the new one.
  6. Close the lid firmly — press both thumbs until the tab clicks back into place.

Battery usage and safety:

⚠️ Always keep batteries dry and dirt free, they are not waterproof or IP rated.
⚠️ Do not store loose batteries in a bag etc with other metal objects.
⚠️ Do not dispose of batteries in household refuse. Batteries should only ever be disposed of at an approved re-cycling centre. Scan the QR code on the battery for recycling information.

Storage & Operating Temperature Range

  • 0°C to 60°C (32°F to 140°F)
▶️ Play/Pause

Tap once on the play button to play or pause.

Volume/track skip
  • Single tap to skip a track.
  • Press and hold until desired volume is achieved.

You'll hear a chime when you reach highest volume.

Volume/previous track
  • Single tap to go back a track.
  • Press and hold until desired volume is achieved.

You'll hear a chime when you reach lowest volume.

🎛️ EQ modes - Outdoor | Indoor | Extra Bass | Audiobook

Press to switch through 4 sound modes in this order:
Outdoor → Extra Bass → Audiobook → Indoor

You’ll hear a different number of beeps to confirm each mode:

  • 1 beep – Outdoor
  • 2 beeps – Extra Bass
  • 3 beeps – Audiobook
  • 4 beeps – Indoor

Each press moves to the next mode. After 4 beeps you’ll return to Outdoor mode. 

🌟 Light modes - White | Camp Fire Flicker | Fire | Off
  1. Press to cycle through 3 light modes:
    White → Camp Fire Flicker → Fire → (Back to White)

Each press moves to the next mode in order. After the third press, it loops back to the beginning.

Hold for 2 seconds to turn the lights off completely. (Handy for bed time listening).

🎧 Using the Aux Input

Yes, PINE Beats has a 3.5mm aux port.

  1. Open the silicone tab on the back.
  2. Plug in your aux cable and enjoy.
🔊 Multi-Speaker Pairing (Up to 100!)
  1. Power on all speakers.
  2. Connect your phone to one of them. Make sure only one phone is connected to the speakers otherwise the Bluetooth pairing won’t work.
  3. Double press the power button on each additional speaker.
    You’ll hear the Glacial Ice chime once they’re paired.

Speakers will auto-pair, keeping them very close with help with pairing. Once connected they can be a maximum distance of 20 meters of each other.

🧼 Cleaning Your PINE Beat

Always close the silicone charging port and battery lid before cleaning.

  • Rinse with clean tap water
  • Gently wipe with a soft microfiber or organic cotton cloth
  • Use an air compressor to blow away sand or dirt

How to Battery Swap

The lid might feel a bit stiff, that's because of the waterproof seal. Follow the steps and it will take seconds.

PEG. Plant It

Safety information - Read first

WARNING: Failure to follow any of the instructions may cause damage to the product and void your warranty

⚠️ Do not force or hammer the PEG into hard ground.
⚠️ Do not force or lever your speaker while attached to PEG.

How to assemble PEG
  1. Remove PEG from the rail.
  2. Pull the rubber tip out of the tube.
  3. Flip it around and reinsert to form a stake.
How to stake your PEG into the ground
  1. Push PEG into soft ground only.

  2. Screw on your speaker after PEG is in place.

To remove from the ground:

  1. Unscrew your speaker first, then lift PEG out.

CORD. Hang It

Safety information - Read first

WARNING: Failure to follow any of the instructions may cause damage to the product and void your warranty

⚠️ Max Weight 800 grams.
⚠️ Do not use for climbing or holding people.

How to attach Cord
  1. Screw the cord onto your speaker (not too tight).

  2. Unclip the carabiner to attach to a bag, tree branch, or loop it for as a handle or should strap.

MAG Base. Pin It

Safety information - Read first

WARNING: Failure to follow any of the above instructions may cause damage to the product and void your warranty.

⚠️ Do not force or lever your speaker while attached to MAG base.
⚠️ Do not place the MAG base near pacemakers or other electronic devices.
⚠️ Do not stick the steel disc (supplied) to moving objects.
⚠️ Do not stick to an irregular surface. Only attach to a flat, magnetically conductive surface, such as steel. Always test to ensure a reliable magnetic bond.
⚠️Attaching directly to a vehicle is done at the owner’s risk, as this may damage paintwork. Always ensure both the paintwork and the MAG base are clean and free of dirt, dust, or foreign objects.

How to use MAG Base

To attach:

  1. Stick the MAG base to a metal surface, slide it into place from the side, not directly onto the surface, (it’s strong).

  2. Then screw on your speaker.

⚠️ Do not stick MAG base and PINE Beat to moving objects.

How to remove MAG Base
  1. Unscrew the speaker first.

  2. Slide the MAG base off sideways, don’t pull it straight off.

⚠️ Forcing or levering your speaker while attached can cause damage not covered by warranty.

⚠️ Keep MAG base away from pacemakers and other electronic devices.

How to stick the adhesive steel disc
  1. Decide where you would like to permanently stick the steel disc.
  2. Slide the MAG base off sideways, don’t pull it straight off.


⚠️ Do not stick the steel disc to moving objects.
⚠️ Do not stick to an irregular surface. Only attach to a flat surface.
⚠️ Do expose to salt water.
⚠️ Do not expose to water for long durations, the steel disc can rust as it's not completely rust proof as it contains iron to allow magnets to stick to it.
