We are taking responsibility for our impact
We are on a mission to stop tech-waste from reaching landfills and oceans and this informs every decision we make. We strive to upgrade and repair as opposed to replace and discard.
As a result we offer 3 services:
Accidental Damage Repairs
We keep our tech going. If you damage your loved speaker and it stops working to the best of its abilities we offer accidental damage repairs.
How it works:
- You send your speaker to us
- We will assess it and restore any faulty parts. We make sure that parts which no longer work are always responsibly recycled.
- We thoroughly test your speakers' performance after the repair.
- We cover shipping back to you.
Upgrades
We don’t design for obsolescence. Our speaker is designed to allow for upgrades, meaning we can add the latest technology so you don’t feel forced to replace.
How it works:
- You send your speaker to us.
- We install your required upgrade, for example, the latest Bluetooth technology.
- We cover shipping back to you.
End of life recycling
We take responsibility for our impact. If you decide your loved speaker has reached the end of its life. We offer responsible recycling at no cost to you*.
How it works:
- Contact us with proof of purchase.
- *If you are based in the UK we will provide a prepaid shipping label.
- You send the speaker to us and we process it responsibly, upcycling that which still works and recycling what may be damaged.
Are these services free?
Our accidental damage repairs and upgrade services carry a cost so we can cover the time of our team and any part replacements, don’t worry, we make sure it’s always reasonable and we ensure you are in agreement every step of the way. Our end-of-life recycling service is free and we cover UK shipping.
Our Materials
Ocean Bound Plastic
Cornwall-Made Ocean Plastic
Collecting ocean-bound plastic helps combat marine pollution by preventing it from impacting marine environments and ecosystems from harmful debris.
Recycling ocean-bound plastic also reduces the demand for new, virgin plastic, conserving resources and lowering carbon emissions associated with production. It also supports circular economy practices, as it transforms waste into valuable products.
Rubber
Natural Rubber
Natural rubber is derived from the latex of rubber trees, a renewable resource that can be sustainably harvested without damaging the tree. This contrasts with synthetic rubber, which is made from petrochemicals and contributes to resource depletion and pollution.
Natural rubber is biodegradable, meaning it breaks down more easily in the environment compared to synthetic alternatives.
Aluminium
Anodised Aluminium
The anodising process enhances aluminium's natural oxide layer, increasing its resistance to corrosion and wear. This means products last longer and require fewer replacements, helping to reduce waste.
Additionally, anodising consumes less energy compared to other treatments. Aluminium is also highly recyclable—recycled aluminium maintains its quality and uses just a fraction of the energy needed for new production.
Silicone
Recycled Silicone
By repurposing silicone that would otherwise be discarded, we reduce waste and conserve valuable natural resources, as it reduces the demand for virgin silicone which requires significant energy and raw materials to produce.
Recycled silicone retains its durability, flexibility, and resistance to extreme conditions, meaning it can be used in a wide range of applications without compromising on quality.
we are doing things differently
Our foundations are already very different from the big companies in this space, but we know we can still do better. As a small, experienced and passionate team with fresh ideas, we're challenging the industry's unsustainable practices.
We will keep pushing boundaries and improving our sustainable practices while never compromising on performance.
